Jenni Johnson Breast, Bottle and Beyond LLC

Jenni Johnson Breast, Bottle and Beyond LLC International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) - Home, Office, and Virtual visits. Who am I?

My Mission
To promote optimal infant feeding, protect the family's choice(s), and support the family with evidence-based care. I will strive to educate and empower the family while assisting them in reaching their feeding goals. I became a Registered Nurse in 2003; after working as a Medical/Surgical nurse for 2 years, I started working with postpartum mothers. In 2005, I became a hospital based L

actation Specialist and in 2009 obtained my International Board Certification (IBCLC). I worked in a dental office for 2 years providing oral function assessments prior to tissue release and feeding support after. I am tethered oral tissue (TOTs) and craniosacral trained, giving my practice an added dimension of care.

💜 September is NICU Awareness Month.

For the tiniest patients, every milestone matters. We’re honoring the babies, families, and healthcare teams who make those milestones possible.

Pasteurized donor human milk (PDHM) can be an important part of care for babies in the NICU when mother’s own milk isn’t available or sufficient in volume. 💜

For decades I have been explaining to families that breastfeeding is a two person job, reassuring them that difficulties were not their fault, and supporting both partners in the relationship. Today United Healthcare changed their coverage and reimbursement to the contrary, only covering the feeding parent and no longer providing coverage or reimbursement for the baby, including multiples (twins, triplets, etc.). It is expected that other insurance companies will follow suit.

As of now, I have decided that this will not change my prices or support structure, but sadly this may have to change in the future. I am committed to continuing to provide support to the feeding dyad, because I understand the value in that process.

Babies use their cries to let us know when something is not right. It is their voice to get our attention and to let us know that they need your help.

We have been led to believe myths of manipulation, spoiling, breaking bad habits, and using separation to teach them to settle themselves. Babies need contact, touch, reassurance, and someone to listen just like we do.

Excessive crying can be a sign of frustration, overstimulation, hunger, discomfort, or many other difficulties. If you are struggling to figure out why your baby is crying, an appointment with Jenni may help to understand. She can assess feeding, oral function, body tension, and offer guidance.

Schedule a home or office visit on the website, jennijohnsonbbb.com/services, or stop in at a Supportive Saturdays gather every Saturday until May. Clicking interested on the Facebook events will provide you with reminders and updates!
