Before setting an intention for a healing ceremony, sit quietly and ask yourself:
What am I tired of carrying alone?
Where do I feel disconnected from my power, voice, body, or joy?
What pattern am I ready to understand at its root?
What would feel different if I trusted myself again?
Do not edit the answer.
Do not make it more acceptable, positive, or spiritual.
Let the first honest response land on the page.
Then create one simple intention from what you find:
“I am ready to release what is not mine to carry.”
“I call my energy back from the places where I abandoned myself.”
“I am open to seeing the root of this pattern with compassion.”
“I invite protection, clarity, and stronger boundaries.”
Your intention does not need to explain your entire story.
It only needs to open the door.
Save these prompts for a quiet moment—or share this with someone preparing for a healing session.

You do not need to arrive at a healing ceremony with perfect clarity.
You do not need to understand the entire pattern, know precisely what caused it, or turn your pain into a beautiful spiritual statement.
You only need a willingness to begin telling the truth.
Sometimes the most powerful intention is simply:
“Show me what I am ready to heal.”
Your intention gives the ceremony a direction—but it leaves room for your body, spirit, and inner knowing to reveal what may be underneath the surface.
What truth has been asking for your attention lately?

You don’t have to figure everything out today.

Let the waves remind you:
some things are meant to be released,
some things are meant to arrive in their own time.

For now, just be here.

Breathe.
Listen.
Feel your feet on the earth.

This moment is enough.

Yesterday my brakes gave out.

I came around a blind turn and there was a line of stopped cars directly in front of me.

I slammed on the brakes.

Nothing.

I swerved into the oncoming lane—and somehow, there wasn’t a single car coming.

I eventually found a driveway with an uphill incline and was able to bring my truck to a stop.

No accident.
No injuries.
Not even a scratch.

But I was terrified.

And it reminded me of something important:

Just because the worst thing didn’t happen doesn’t mean your body didn’t experience the threat.

For me, this is where my shamanic practice becomes deeply personal.

Over the next few days, I’ll journey and ask whether anything from that moment needs to be retrieved, released, witnessed, or reintegrated.

I don’t want to tell my body, “Nothing happened.”

I want to tell it:

It’s over now.
Thank you for protecting me.
You can come all the way back.

Spiritual practice doesn’t replace trauma-informed care when it’s needed. But for me, it’s one of the ways I honor what my body and spirit have just experienced.

Sometimes surviving is only the first part.

Coming home to yourself is the next

Water doesn’t question where it’s going.
It simply keeps moving.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about healing is believing that every struggle started with us.
Sometimes we’re carrying ways of relating that have been practiced for generations.
Overgiving.
Hyper-independence.
People pleasing.
Choosing emotionally unavailable partners.
Feeling guilty for resting.
These patterns often made perfect sense somewhere in your family story.
But that doesn’t mean they have to become your future.
I just published a new blog all about releasing inherited patterns—and if you’re ready to start recognizing your own, I’ve also created a free guide.
✨ Grab it through the link in my bio.

Some patterns aren’t simply thoughts we can talk ourselves out of. They may be connected to years of learned responses around love, safety belonging, conflict, scarcity, and connection.
This is why I’m bringing neurowellness more intentionally into the conversation.
The work becomes: what is my system doing?
What might it be protecting me from?
What am I finally ready to release?
You don’t have to reject your past to heal it, and be able to choose what comes next.

Some of the hardest things we carry were never actually ours.
Maybe you learned that love had to be earned. That keeping the peace mattered more than speaking your truth. That asking for too much made you a burden. That being “good” meant becoming smaller.
These beliefs often don’t begin with us. They can be passed through families, relationships, culture, and generations as ways people learned to survive.
The beautiful part is this: becoming aware of a pattern is the first step toward changing it.
Healing doesn’t mean rejecting where you came from or blaming the people who came before you. It means honoring what helped others survive while choosing what continues through you.
You are allowed to keep the love.
You are allowed to leave the wounds.
If you’ve been wondering why you keep repeating the same relationship dynamics, people-pleasing patterns, or fears that don’t seem to make sense, I created a free guide to help you begin recognizing the inherited patterns that may still be shaping your life.
✨ grab it through the link in my bio.
I’d love to know—which pattern have you become most aware of in your own healing journey?

What if you didn’t lose yourself.....what if you simply learned to hide?
The version of you that laughs freely.
The version that trusts her intuition.
The version that knows her worth.
The version that isn’t constantly bracing for the next disappointment.
She may not be gone.
She may simply be waiting for a moment when it feels safe to return.
That is the heart of Soul Retrieval.
Not becoming someone else.
Coming home to who you’ve always been.
If your spirit has been whispering that it’s time for deeper healing, maybe this is your invitation to listen.
✨ You don’t have to force your way back to yourself.
Sometimes you only have to welcome yourself home.
