Bohemian Cove: Magic & Soul Center

Bohemian Cove: Magic & Soul Center A little bit of Salem in Haverhill. I’m always bringing in new herbs, teas, and special finds, so there’s often something new to discover.

Bohemian Cove is a welcoming space for intuition, healing, connection, and everyday magic, offering crystals, tarot readings, energy healing, community circles, classes, and unique treasures. ✨ Come & explore! ✨ About Bohemian Cove ✨

Bohemian Cove is my heart-centered metaphysical shop and soul center located in downtown Haverhill. I created the Cove as a welcoming space where people can explore

their spiritual path, find tools for healing and growth, and feel comfortable being exactly who they are. Inside the shop you’ll find a curated collection of crystals, candles, herbs, teas, books, tarot decks, incense, and witchcraft supplies, along with many handmade and one-of-a-kind items. I offer intuitive tarot readings, mediumship sessions, and energy healing in a comfortable, supportive environment. Many people come seeking clarity, guidance, or connection, while others simply enjoy the peaceful energy of the shop. I also host circles, gatherings, tea ceremonies, and special events throughout the year to bring people together in meaningful ways. You’ll also find a special corner dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe, honoring the mystery, poetry, and shadow that inspire many spiritual paths. Whether you are just beginning your journey or have been walking your path for years, I welcome you to come explore Bohemian Cove and experience the magic for yourself. ✨

Last night at Bohemian Cove was an experience I will never forget. 💜✨

A few months ago, someone from out of state, down by Washington, D.C., reached out to me looking for something special for himself and his partner, who lives up north in Maine.

He didn’t want a regular tarot reading or a workshop or anything that I had listed as a service. He wanted something one of a kind, something more personal and more intimate to share with this special person in his life.

So we started talking, and as we spoke, the whole idea started to take shape.

And last night, they came.

It was touch and go for a bit because they weren’t even sure if they were going to be able to make it, but I worked with him to meet his financial needs, and together we created a beautiful, magical, wonderful experience.

It was a private couples experience using meditation, tarot, herbs, crystals, candles, intention work, and personal touches that connected back to their own story and their relationship.

It was something I intuitively pulled together from what he was telling me they wanted, and then I built from there.

There was laughter. There was conversation. There was card reading and meditation. We called in deities. They blended herbs together. They anointed a candle together. They created something magical that they could not only physically take home with them, but also a memory they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

This isn’t something I offer on my website.

It happened because someone asked me if I was willing to do something, and I said yes.

I love doing this for people.

Let’s see what we can do.
Let’s see what we can create.

And I am so glad I was able to bring magic into their lives.

They had so much beautiful energy and so much love for each other, and for me to be able to witness their time together and be able to connect with them, it was such a magical experience for them and for myself.

And now I’ve made some new connections from it, and maybe a new friend or two.

Because at the heart of Bohemian Cove, it isn’t really about the magic.

It’s about connection.

And that’s where the magic lies.

So thank you, to the two beautiful souls who came to me last night, trusted me to guide them in such an intimate ceremony, and allowed me to watch them create something magical.
I am grateful.☺️

Personally, I always like to wait until October 1st to start celebrating Halloween, or at least until fall officially becomes fall.

However, this year is a little bit different.

Practical Magic 2 is coming to theaters on September 11th, and because Practical Magic is my favorite movie of all time, I have decided that I need to start celebrating at the Cove a little earlier than normal.

Therefore, I have officially established **Falloween at the Cove** this September.

Bohemian Cove is leaning all the way into that in between season to celebrate the release of Practical Magic 2 by embracing **Practically Magical September**, a month filled with opportunities to create, explore your intuition, learn something new and make a little everyday magic of your own.

September will kick off with a new community event, the **Communication & Intuition Circle**, followed by the monthly community **Tea & Tarot Night**.

Then we’ll go into full creative mode by embracing our inner witches and creating miniature **Black Kyanite Brooms**, gathering for the monthly **Intuition & Mediumship Circle**, opening the doors to **Sally’s Apothecary** to make herbal magic pouches, and exploring the foundations of magic together during the **Beginner’s Magic Circle**.

I’ll be finishing the month downtown during the **Haverhill Art Walk**, because I want to dress like a witch at the end of September, just as I dressed like a fairy this summer, and bring a little joy, happiness and magic to everyone.

Some of these gatherings are about learning. Some are about creating. Some are about strengthening your intuition and connecting with people who are curious.

But all of them are about connecting with people who are curious about the same things you are. They are all meant to feel welcoming, comfortable and fun.

You don’t need to know everything. You don’t need to follow a particular path. You don’t even need to be completely sure of what you believe.

The circles and hands on experiences are intentionally kept intimate. Individual event details and registration can be found through Bohemian Cove.

Take a look at my September calendar. Which part of Falloween would you most like to experience?

EDIT: I think the point of this post is getting lost. I’m not worried that my business is failing. I understand the ebb and flow after five years, and I just had the two best weeks in the shop’s history.

What I wanted people to understand was the raw side of what I do and who I am. I’m always trusting in the universe and naturally live at a high vibration, but I’m still human. I’m allowed to say today sucked, vent about it, and wish I had someone to go home to who would make dinner or draw me a bath.

I wanted people to be aware that being spiritual doesn’t mean pretending every day feels good.

So here’s today’s lesson:

A spiritual person can trust the universe completely and still have a day that sucks. A strong person can take care of herself and still wish someone would make dinner, draw her a bath, and say, “I’ve got you tonight.”

Neither truth cancels the other.

I’m not looking for sympathy, apologies, advice, or someone to fix anything. I’m showing the raw side of what I do and who I am because authentic spirituality isn’t constant smiling, forced positivity, or pretending disappointment never touches you.

Sometimes the lesson is simply to let yourself be human. Vent. Veg out. Admit that the day sucked, and still trust that tomorrow can be better.

I was so excited to see Belinda and her daughter, Avery, at the shop today! They dropped by because I had asked Avery to draw me a picture so I could hang it in the store. And here it is!!!! Framed by Avery, and so creative! I love the beautiful work she did. It is hanging by my Poe corner, so when you all come to visit now, you can take photos of it, share it, and let Avery know you've seen a work of her art here at the Cove!

Thank you Avery!

Thank you to everyone in Haverhill who voted Bohemian Cove as Haverhill’s Most Unique Business for 2026. I’m so incredibly grateful to all of you.

Last year, Bohemian Cove placed third in this category. This year, I was listed at the very top. I had a feeling it might happen, but seeing it come true is such an honor for me.

When I first started Bohemian Cove, it was a huge risk. I left Albany, New York, a place I had called home for more than 30 years, and much of the life I had built there, to move back into my childhood home and live my dream of opening my own shop.

Along the way, I ran into quite a few obstacles, but I also had help and support from so many people. I had a really strong support system when I first started here, but that support system has changed over the years, and some of those people are no longer part of my life.

But in its place, an entirely new community has developed.

I have met so many people through this little shop. Customers, students, clients, and supporters have all become part of the Bohemian Cove family. Some of them I can even call friends.

When I think about what makes Bohemian Cove so unique, I feel like it’s so many different things all at once.

When you walk into my shop, you’re not just seeing a magical little shop. You’re actually seeing everything I love poured out into the space. The Cove has also developed its own personality.

You’ll see the Edgar Allan Poe corner, Arthur the Raven, our resident “possessed” mascot, my altars, the Sage Bar, our new little hermit crab friends, and all the other details that make The Cove feel alive.

It’s not just somewhere people come to buy cards, crystals, candles, or incense. People come because they are pulled toward it.

This little shop has become a bit of a tourist attraction. It really is a little bit of Salem in Haverhill, but it’s also something completely unique on its own.

I’ve had people visit from England, California, and all over the country. Currently, I’m putting together a special experience for a new customer from Maryland who is coming to visit with his girlfriend in September. I’m still awed by the fact that people find me online, contact me from so far away, and make Bohemian Cove one of the places they want to visit.

Part of what makes Bohemian Cove so magical to me is that I get to create something special and one of a kind for each person. Someone might come in looking for a specific bracelet that I don’t have, so I’ll make it for them. They may be looking for a particular oil, and I’ll create something for them. I may suddenly feel like I need to pull a card and give someone a reading.

People don’t always know what is going to happen when they walk into The Cove, and honestly, I don’t know either. That’s part of the magic and the fun.

Connections tend to happen here. Two people who don’t know each other will start talking and suddenly realize how many things they have in common. Sometimes, a new friendship begins.

People also gather through my circles, where they can connect and talk openly about their feelings, experiences, and growth without worrying that someone will think they are strange.

Because here, we’re all strange. We’re all unique. We’re all different.

The Cove is a healing space, a creative space, a place to learn, a place to laugh, and a place where people can feel comfortable being exactly who they are. There are no judgments here.

Everyone who comes in tells me the same thing in different ways.

“It’s magical.”

“It’s like a warm hug.”

“It’s peaceful.”

“It’s calming.”

“The energy is so welcoming.”

I really love hearing that from them.

Bohemian Cove is an extension of who I am. There are many different layers to the space because there are many different layers to me. It can be magical, strange, comforting, creative, spiritual, funny, and completely unexpected.

Many people come back over and over again. Some I don’t see for months at a time, and then they resurface. Others take over a year to come back, and some may only pass through my doors once. But everyone who comes through those doors becomes part of The Cove’s story.

I’m so grateful to everyone who voted, everyone who has supported me, everyone who has come in, everyone I’ve created for and taught, and everyone who keeps coming back.

Thank you for helping to make Bohemian Cove what it is today.

The most important thing to me about being recognized as Haverhill’s Most Unique Business is that being unique is the whole point of why I exist. I never want to be exactly like anyone else, and I never want Bohemian Cove to be like any other shop.

Thank you for seeing the magic in what I have created. 💜✨
