✈️ MEET CAPTAIN MEGAN PALMER ✈️

We’re excited to introduce Captain Megan Palmer, a C208 Caravan Captain who will be joining us at Girls in Aviation Day!

Megan’s aviation journey began in 2020 when she moved to Tennessee for flight school. After earning her instrument rating, she moved to Alaska to pursue her dream of bush flying, gaining experience flying tailwheel aircraft in remote, mountainous terrain and often landing off airport.

Her first professional flying job took her to northern Arizona, where she flew tours around Lake Powell in Cessna 207s. From there, Megan joined CubCrafters in Washington as a production test pilot, flying Cubs every day while expanding her knowledge of aircraft testing, performance, and development.

"All of this experience led me to what I had my sights set on since primary training: Empire Airlines. I now fly the Caravan throughout the PNW, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences that have shaped my career and brought me to where I am today."

We’re excited to introduce Captain Marija Petrovic, a C208 Caravan Captain with Empire Airlines!

Marija began her aviation journey in 2022 in Scottsdale, Arizona. After completing her training, she became a flight instructor before moving to Colorado, where she instructed at Initial Flight Training and worked with both U.S. and international pilots.

In 2025, Marija took the next step in her aviation career and joined Empire Airlines. Flying the C208 Caravan has given her valuable experience operating as a single pilot and navigating challenging weather conditions.

“I’ve learned a great deal so far and can’t wait to see what comes next!”

You’ll also have the opportunity to see the Caravan up close and learn more about what it’s like to fly professionally.

What an incredible opportunity to be part of the Oshkosh medical team and to take part in the safety briefings behind such an amazing event! ✈️

One thing that really stood out to me was just how clearly safety is a priority. From the planning and briefings to the ex*****on throughout the event, the level of engagement and commitment from the entire team was truly impressive. It takes an incredible amount of coordination, preparation, and teamwork to make an event of this scale happen safely — and it was an honor to be a small part of it.

I’m also so grateful for the opportunity to meet so many of the amazing performers, pilots, volunteers, organizers, and countless incredible people who come together to make Oshkosh such a special experience. The passion, professionalism, and enthusiasm of everyone involved is contagious!

Thank you for the opportunity, the warm welcome, and the chance to learn from and work alongside such an incredible team. Feeling very grateful for the experience and already looking forward to next year! 🙌✈️

I moved to North Idaho, became an AME, and somehow met another Dr. Ferraro AME.

No relation, but it sure feels like family. What started with a shared last name turned into a friendship and mentorship I’m incredibly grateful for.

Life has a funny way of connecting the dots.
