AI is detrimental to the environment and once it’s gone, we won’t be able to get it back. All because it’s more convenient for chatgbt to write a grocery list than it is to take 5 minutes to do it ourselves

AI is responsible for:

the massive fires we are seeing becoming a regular occurrence

the yellow/hazy skies we’ve seen over the Northeast the last few days

the increase of severe weather threats such as tornados in New England becoming the new norm every summer when this type of severe weather used to be a rarity

The list goes on.

We are not separate from nature. We are nature. We have a symbiotic relationship 🌿

It’s up to us to actually give a s**t enough to stop using it and care more about saving our planet than the illusion of convenience that cap!tal!sm has convinced us will somehow make our lives better.

I fear destroying the planet and making it inhabitable one data center at a time doesn’t make our lives better. It makes our lives significantly worse.

You are as wild as the roots that run along the old growth forest floor.

Your elemental makeup is the same as the river and the soil.

We cannot separate our collective impacts on nature when we are nature itself.
