Glycolic acid may be small, but it can do a lot.

Skin tags are common, harmless growths that often form in places where skin rubs together, including the neck, underarms, eyelids, under the breasts, and groin area.

While many are simply skin tags, not every small growth is the same. Moles, warts, and other benign spots can sometimes look similar, which is why it is best not to cut, tie off, or remove one at home.

Schedule a dermatology evaluation if a growth changes, bleeds, becomes painful, grows quickly, or looks different from your usual spots. The right diagnosis should always come before removal.
