Houston Medical Forum

The Houston Medical Forum was founded in 1958 as a Houston doctors association for black doctors. To and a branch of the Lone Star Medical Association.

Today it exists as a component society of the National Medical Association, Inc. Its members consist predominantly of African American physicians and surgeons as well as attended by residents and medical students. We offer many benefits of membership in our association of black doctors, including:

-- Immediate ability to network with black doctors in Houston and the surrounding areas
-- Regular meetings with speakers on topics of interest to any black doctor
-- Community outreach activities
-- Opportunity to participate in annual black doctor events
-- Houston doctors locator tools for the general public
-- Many more benefits

Congratulations to The Luke Church , recipient of the Houston Medical Forum Centennial Community Impact Award.

Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Timothy Sloan and orthopaedic surgeon Sonya Sloan, M.D., The Luke Church has shown what can happen when faith and medicine work side by side. Their commitment to the health and well-being of Houston families has opened doors to care, built trust, and strengthened our community.
