When a first anxiety medication doesn’t provide enough relief, it doesn’t mean someone is doing anything wrong or is a hard case.

Roughly 40% of people with anxiety don’t get an adequate response to first-line treatment, and remission rates with SSRIs and SNRIs are below 50%. It’s common—it just doesn’t get talked about enough.

At our research clinic in Cleveland, we’re studying new treatments for anxiety. For those who haven’t found enough relief from previous treatments, a free health screening can be a simple first step.

The contact form below connects interested individuals with our coordinator, Ben. He can explain the study, answer questions, and schedule a free screening at our office in Independence for anyone interested in participating.

Most people in Cleveland living with anxiety have tried one or two things and stopped there. Therapy that didn't stick. A medication that helped a little. Or nothing at all, because where do you even start.

There's more available than most people ever hear about. Clinical research is one of those options, and there's a paid anxiety study enrolling here right now.

No pressure and no commitment to find out. A free health screen tells you if it's a fit.

MYTH 2: "You'd be a guinea pig."
Every study is reviewed and approved by an independent ethics board before a single person enrolls. Participants are told what's involved, what's known, and what the risks are, and nothing proceeds without written consent. Safety is monitored throughout — in most psychiatry studies, participants are seen more often and more closely than in routine care.

MYTH 3: "It would take over my schedule."
Most visits run one to three hours, scheduled in advance around work and family. And in psychiatry studies specifically, the visits are largely conversation — structured questionnaires and check-ins with the same research team each time. Many participants describe it as the most consistent attention they've had from anyone about how they're actually doing.

MYTH 4: "I'd get a placebo and be left with nothing."
Not every study uses a placebo. The ones that do explain exactly how it works and what the odds are before anyone enrolls. No one finds out after the fact, and no one is left without care.

MYTH 5: "I couldn't afford it."
Study-related visits, assessments, and study medication are provided at no cost, and no insurance is required. Compensation for time and travel is often included.

MYTH 6: "Once I start, I'm locked in."
Anyone can withdraw at any time, for any reason, without giving an explanation and without affecting their regular care. Participation is voluntary from the first day to the last.

Clinical research isn't right for everyone. But it's worth deciding based on what it actually involves.

Antipsychotic medications work, but they come with tradeoffs. Weight gain, brain fog, restlessness, and emotional blunting are among the most commonly reported side effects, and they're a leading reason people stop taking medication that's otherwise helping.

That's a real gap in schizophrenia care, and it's why researchers continue to study new options.

Insight Clinical Trials is enrolling a research study in the Cleveland area for adults diagnosed with schizophrenia. Study-related care and study medication are provided at no cost, and no insurance is required. Anyone who enrolls is told exactly what's involved before making a decision.

with PTSD can bring challenges that other people do not always see.

Most people know about therapy and medication. Fewer people know that clinical research can also be an option to discuss with a provider.

In a recent local survey, nearly 95% of people said their doctor had never told them about research opportunities. That means a lot of people may be missing information about options in their own community.

Clinical research helps doctors learn more about PTSD while giving eligible participants access to study-related care.

At Insight Clinical Trials in Independence, we are working to make mental health research more accessible across the Cleveland area.

If you care for someone with Alzheimer's, you may have noticed more than memory loss. Maybe they think someone is stealing from them, or they see or hear things that aren't there. These are called hallucinations and delusions, and they're more common than many families expect.

You're not the only one facing this. And right now, there are no FDA-approved medications made specifically to treat psychosis linked to Alzheimer's disease. That's why research matters.

Insight Clinical Trials in Cleveland is part of a study looking at an investigational medication for people with Alzheimer's who have hallucinations or delusions.
