We're building something special! 🏗️

We celebrated a major milestone with the ceremonial topping of the final beam for our new behavioral health hospital, opening in 2026. This moment marks the next step in our commitment to expanding access to high-quality behavioral health care in our community.

We’re grateful to everyone who has helped make this project possible, including our construction partner DeAngelis Diamond. We can’t wait to open our doors and begin this next chapter. Stay tuned!

Time to top the beam!

This week, we proudly joined UHS, Mayor Rory Rowland, and our construction partner DeAngelis Diamond for a ceremonial beam topping and the official reveal of our brand logo. We’re excited to share the name of our new facility: Three Trails Behavioral Hospital.

The name "Three Trails" was chosen to honor the rich history of Independence, Missouri, as the starting point for the Santa Fe, Oregon and California Trails. We look forward to serving this community with compassion, excellence and a deep respect for its legacy.

“The beam topping is an important milestone toward the opening of this important new hospital,” said Shelah Adams, AVP, Corporate Development, UHS. “It is a visual representation of our commitment to bring much-needed behavioral healthcare services to the community. We are proud to see the hospital take shape and look forward to its opening in 2026.”
