Namaste- Namas-to bow/bend te=to you 👋💜A student recently came up after class and ask why I don’t say namaste at the end of any of my classes.
Namaste 🙏🏼 traditionally is a “greeting” (to elders, teachers, guest) I don’t say it at “end of class”.
For me, it’s a cultural responsibility to be a custodian of a living tradition.
I share this, just in case anyone else wondered and just never asked. please always feel free to ask if you need clarity on something I am saying or doing! That is what I am here to do. Teach. And I don’t mean just asana=poses.

PSA- Today in tai chi… a cell phone rang. A young fella (maybe 18-20) said “whose phone is that?!! We don’t allow distractions in the dojo!!!” Throat chakra very open!!! Not all hero’s wear capes. I’ve wanted to yell this myself in classes. Bc I have witnessed this soooo much in spaces where we are trying to go within and get away from distractions. But yet someone’s cell rings or they are checking iwatch messages. Anyway, it was a great class!! 😁🥋🙏🏼 I’ll see ya on your mat this week but I will have an open throat chakra if your phone rings or iwatch is distracting you.
