Grief isn't linear. It comes in waves.
Some days you feel steady and hopeful. And then, without warning, a song, a smell, a memory, a place, or even an ordinary moment can bring the grief rushing back.
The wave doesn’t mean you’re starting over.
It doesn’t mean you’re going backward.
It simply means you’re still healing.
You don’t have to fight the wave. You can pause, breathe, feel what is there, and remind yourself: “This wave will pass. I can feel this without being consumed by it. I can carry my love and continue moving forward.”
Grief changes over time. It's not because you stop caring, but because you learn how to make space for both the loss and the life that continues.
