Women’s Health: Finding Balance Through Acupuncture
Our bodies are constantly changing—and sometimes they let us know that something is out of balance.
Changes in your menstrual cycle, painful or unusually heavy periods, PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, or the transition through perimenopause and menopause can all affect how you feel in your body and how you move through everyday life.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we don't look at these symptoms in isolation. We look at the whole person.
The menstrual cycle itself can offer valuable information about the body's overall balance. Rather than simply trying to quiet an individual symptom, acupuncture works within the framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine to support the body's natural processes and encourage greater balance.
🌿 Some of the women's health concerns we commonly support include:
• Menstrual irregularities
Cycles that are unusually short, long, heavy, light, painful, or absent.
• PMS
Including cramping, bloating, irritability, mood changes, and other symptoms that appear around your cycle.
• Endometriosis
Acupuncture may be used as part of a supportive approach to managing pain and other symptoms associated with endometriosis.
• PCOS
Supporting cycle regularity, reproductive health, and overall balance.
• Perimenopause & Menopause
Acupuncture has long been used to support women through the changes that can accompany this transition, including hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, and mood changes.
At Two Rivers, our approach is individualized and rooted in listening. Your symptoms, your history, your stage of life, and how you're feeling today all become part of the conversation.
You don't have to simply accept feeling uncomfortable because someone tells you it's “normal.”
Your body is communicating with you. Acupuncture can be one way to listen. đź’›
