Hey all! Sorry for the very late update! After lots of thinking, questions, answers, more thinking, more questions Dalton has decided to stop treatment. This did not come as an easy decision. Where we stand now, he had no quality of life with the way it was going, the cancer is gone, and he was having reactions to 3 outta 4 meds with his body becoming toxic from the meds building up in his system. The doctor had told him it is very highly likely it is gone for good but did encourage him to finish the treatments. He will follow up as they suggest and if anything unusual happens to pop up it will be addressed immediately. The doctor told him he could finish treatments and it not come back or he could not finish them and it still not come back. As I told him, I know how I feel and what I see and knows how he feels from what he has told me but I can not say I know how he feels personally. Like I said I know this wasn't an easy decision for him but we support him and will be there no matter what! So we are currently back up at the doctor's to tell them his final answer, he's done. I also wanted to say again to those who have been there in whatever way they could be. We will forever be grateful to those who showed us love and support! Now we wait for the next steps. Will update after appointment today. 💜🖤

Appointment all done. Next steps: port removal will be happening REALLY soon due to placement complications. PET scan on July 28th. Doctor said "very high chance you're cured" so that helped with reassurance on his decision! 💜🖤💜🖤

Hello to all! Real quick update. We are going to an unplanned (until last week) appointment today. Due to all the complications he had been having they previously removed one of the chemo meds. Well last Friday another was removed before infusion due to side effects affecting overall quality of life, leaving only two chemo meds to be administered. Fast forward to treatment, he was 45 minutes away from having it completed then had an very bad reaction to one of the medications, which he had been getting the whole time, broke out in a rash and throat began spasming. So now we are going to talk to the doctor to see what our next steps are with treatment and monitoring all the things. Will update when we know more. Thank you again to everyone that has been there for our family in whatever way you have been able to. It means the world to us! 💜🖤💜🖤

🌟Very Late Update🌟

😴😴 that's how this post will start, buuuuuut heeeeere weeee goooo! After last week's setback, starting cycle 2 today!! Another round the 17th, then PET scan the 21st to see how the treatment is doing. He's feeling good (besides the typical being woke up too early grumbles, some things never change) so all the things to keep him going are welcomed and appreciated!!! Thank you!! 💜🖤💜🖤

Hey friends! Here is a fun update. Cycle 2 has been delayed due to my lil ER visit that I had yesterday. Ended up with a very low grade fever and found out that I have a lung infection. Antibiotics have been started, but I otherwise feel fine. Hopefully we can get the next cycle started next week. 🤞🏼

Treatment number two underway now. Was almost postponed due to a lab being low but after lots of talk between doctors they decided to go ahead and proceed with it and have him come back next week to check his labs again to see if they need to add a shot into the mix along with antibiotics for extra protection against cooties. Overall he's still doing really good and in very good spirits! After this treatment, cycle one is in the books! He's got this! We got this! 💜🖤

*Update*

Labs are good, better then we expected for some and alot staying steady. EKG done to make sure all is well with his heart. All clear for next week's round!

1 week post appt for labs and check in. They want to see how he's handling everything so far. Couldn't be more thankful for how efficient and attentive everyone here is.
