Hey all! Sorry for the very late update! After lots of thinking, questions, answers, more thinking, more questions Dalton has decided to stop treatment. This did not come as an easy decision. Where we stand now, he had no quality of life with the way it was going, the cancer is gone, and he was having reactions to 3 outta 4 meds with his body becoming toxic from the meds building up in his system. The doctor had told him it is very highly likely it is gone for good but did encourage him to finish the treatments. He will follow up as they suggest and if anything unusual happens to pop up it will be addressed immediately. The doctor told him he could finish treatments and it not come back or he could not finish them and it still not come back. As I told him, I know how I feel and what I see and knows how he feels from what he has told me but I can not say I know how he feels personally. Like I said I know this wasn't an easy decision for him but we support him and will be there no matter what! So we are currently back up at the doctor's to tell them his final answer, he's done. I also wanted to say again to those who have been there in whatever way they could be. We will forever be grateful to those who showed us love and support! Now we wait for the next steps. Will update after appointment today. ππ€
**************** UPDATE ********************
Appointment all done. Next steps: port removal will be happening REALLY soon due to placement complications. PET scan on July 28th. Doctor said "very high chance you're cured" so that helped with reassurance on his decision! ππ€ππ€
