Well... I’m officially on maternity leave. 🥹🩵 stepping fully away from work for a bit.

If you need care, have questions, refills or to set up an appointment while I’m out, please call the office directly — they’ve got you covered.

Just a reminder to all of my current patients after this week I will be starting my maternity leave which means that I will not be taking messages or calls for a few weeks while I spend time with my newborn! 💕 please call the office with any needs during this time and thank you for all your sweet wishes!

Yes, 38 weeks and I’m still working out 🏋️ and there’s real research behind why that’s a good thing, not something to feel nervous about. 💪🏼

ACOG (the leading OB/GYN guideline body) states that vigorous exercise continued into the third trimester is safe for most healthy pregnancies. Regular movement during pregnancy has also been linked to lower stress and fewer depressive symptoms, and studies on strength training in the second/third trimester found no difference in delivery type compared to women who didn’t train.

Obviously every pregnancy is different, and this isn’t a green light to push through pain or ignore your OB’s specific guidance — but for a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy, staying active is generally encouraged, not discouraged.

If you are pregnant and nervous to be exercising let me point you to some people who can help! Easy Fix Fitness has the knowledge to provide you with a safe pregnancy workouts. And Marley Chrisman, PT, DPT is a pelvic floor therapist that will make sure that you aren’t doing anything to damage your pelvic floor while you are exercising and make sure you have the support you need while pregnant and into postpartum.

So ready to have this baby 😂 I actually have felt really good this whole summer up until about a week ago.

It’s usually a bunch of small issues with your health all adding up to make you feel like crap. Which is also why “feeling better” is not usually just a quick fix. It’s a perfectly curated plan made specifically for you that takes place over at least 6-12 months and then requires ongoing management and tweaking. 💕

If you’ve been running around town feeling like Peter Parker losing his powers because your HRT patch prescription is stuck in backorder limbo, you are NOT crazy. The nationwide shortage is real, and the struggle is exhausting.
