📢 Dr. Amy Loschert is the featured speaker at this year's Community Health Forum 📢

The forum will be held on Saturday, October 24 at Centennial Hall. Dr. Loschert will be speaking on A Holistic Model of Survivorship: How To Come Back Stronger After Cancer.

More details coming soon!

🌄Give Dr. Amy Loschert a mountain trail to explore and she's in her element! Trail running is one of her favorite ways to spend her free time, and she's explored trails all over the country. Paddling in the Kenai Fjords is high on her list of adventures to tackle next.
🌱Dr. Loschert loves designing and creating flower and medicinal herb gardens. And then there's the kitchen, where, in her words, “My love language is cooking.” Plenty of healthy, creative dishes around her dinner table!
And here's something we definitely wouldn't have guessed: Dr. Loschert made it to the National Junior Olympics as a sprinter when she was just 12 years old, wow!
💚We are fortunate to have her on our team as our Medical Director of Integrative and Supportive Oncology Services and Naturopathic Doctor and can’t wait to hear about her next Alaska adventure.

🗓️Save the Date and Join us on Thursday, November 5th🗓️

A blood cancer diagnosis can affect every aspect of daily life, from treatment decisions to emotional well-being. This program is designed to give patients and caregivers the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate care, manage challenges, and feel supported throughout their journey.

Blood Cancer United's expert speakers will explore common challenges patients and caregivers face when accessing support services, treatment resources, and quality care. The event will feature a social worker from Central Peninsula Hospital and Cancer Connection SE Alaska, who will share insights on these challenges, discuss how to overcome barriers, access resources, and self-advocate throughout the blood cancer journey.

Bring your questions and be part of an engaging, supportive discussion. All are welcome — we encourage you to bring your caregiver and family members.

🛒 A Little Change Can Make a BIG Difference! 🛒

This month, we are incredibly grateful to Superbear IGA and Foodland IGA for supporting Cancer Connection through their monthly round-up program!

When you’re checking out this month, you’ll have the opportunity to round up your purchase and help people in Southeast impacted by cancer. Those extra cents may seem small, but together, they add up to meaningful support for patients, caregivers, and families throughout the region.

We are so thankful to Superbear IGA, Foodland IGA, and everyone who chooses to round up.
