👏👏👏

We are incredibly grateful to the members of 100 Women Who Care Juneau for selecting Cancer Connection as a recent recipient of their generosity.

This support helps ensure that Southeast Alaskans facing cancer can access compassionate assistance, financial support, and a caring community when they need it most.

As a small, grassroots nonprofit, gifts like these make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of local individuals and families navigating cancer treatment and recovery.

Thank you 100 Women Who Care Juneau for believing in our mission and for investing in the health and well-being of our community.

Our sincerest THANKS to everyone who participated in Locals Day with Coastal Helicopters Inc.!

Proceeds from the event support Cancer Connection's Travel Assistance program which provides travel grants to Southeast Alaska residents for cancer care.

The Lynne Wunsch Memorial Travel program was initially funded in 2002 with seed money from Coastal Helicopters Inc.
and continues today with support from this event.

We are so grateful for 24 years of partnership with Coastal Helicopters Inc. and to this generous community!

Meet Christy Ciambor — Cancer Connection's first Executive Director.

A longtime Juneau resident, Christy has spent her career building and supporting Southeast Alaska's nonprofits and community organizations: Program Director at the Juneau Community Foundation, development leadership at CoastAlaska and KTOO, tourism marketing at Travel Juneau, and earlier years with Alaskan Brewing.

She steps into this half-time role at a pivotal moment for Cancer Connection — as we settle into our new home inside the Southeast Cancer Center and continue serving cancer patients and their families across the region.

Please join us in welcoming Christy to the team.

Big news for Cancer Connection!

We are thrilled to announce that Christy Ciambor has joined Cancer Connection as our first-ever Executive Director.

Christy brings nearly two decades of nonprofit leadership in Southeast Alaska — most recently as Program Director at the Juneau Community Foundation, and previously in development and marketing roles with CoastAlaska, Travel Juneau, KTOO, and Alaskan Brewing.

After 28 years of serving Southeast Alaskans facing cancer, this is a meaningful new chapter for our organization — and we couldn't be more excited about who is helping lead it.

Welcome, Christy!
