What an incredible weekend that was!
Holy s**t was it HOTT but the vibes were too!! Luckily, the wall had about 6’ of shade during the height of the day and coolers full of bevies. This one is just as long but 2’ taller than the last one and done in 3 days or 28-30hrs. We all suffered and all crushed together! Go see it in person though!!
I had no plan but a ton of paint (plenty decided not to work) and was initially going more simple. So, pivoting and vibing with the homies got me obsessively turned up until this thing emerged.. whoa

Hello lovelies! Some of us have a few open spots this August that we’d like to fill. If you didn’t know, we’ve been running monthly specials and these designs could be YOURS!
I’d love to tattoo this Oni mask in either color or black and grey about hand sized. Basically, a single session design. We could do it as is or add rope/ tassels, flames, etc to make it even cooler.

was a massive success!! Very surreal being back on this wall in daylight with over 90 people painting after it was retired in 2003. Big ups to and crew for organizing and all the nitty gritty details! My piece took about 45hrs and illustrates an otherworldly being breathing life over the sterile, manmade letters and creating a mutation. Super pumped on this one! It was also great to see old friends and make new ones.
You can access it from the riverfront path to the east or through the port authority from the west. This section of the flood wall lies under the Broadway bridge. A mile down and back will blow your mind!! Get out there.

My piece took about 45 hours and illustrates an other worldly being breathing live over the sterile, man made letters, creating a mutation. So much fun to get to paint this wall again after over 25 years and getting to see old friends and meet new ones!! Thanks and crew for putting this together! Get down there and check it out. West access through the port authority at Woodsweather and Liberty, east access from the river market. Ready, set, GO!
