Looking for high protein plant-based foods?

If you're vegan, you've probably heard the question "how do you get your protein?" from well-meaning omnivores about a million times. The truth is, there are plenty of plant-based options that not only pack the protein but are also heart-healthier than animal products and superior in terms of vitami...

Spent another great week in Ft. Lauderdale working with a company that truly understands something important: healthy employees are not an expense…they’re an investment.

Doc & Chef has been stepping more into the corporate wellness space lately, and it’s honestly exciting to watch companies begin connecting the dots between food, energy, morale, productivity, and long-term health.

What we do is actually pretty simple. We teach people how to make nutrient-dense meals that are quick, realistic, satisfying, and full of flavor. No intimidation. No perfection. No “health food punishment.”

And the response has been incredible.

People want practical solutions. They want to feel better without spending 3 hours in the kitchen or eating bland food.

The bigger takeaway for me this week?
Workplace wellness works best when companies genuinely care about their people and create a culture that supports healthier choices instead of just talking about them.

That ripple effect goes far beyond the lunch hour:
✔ Better energy
✔ Better focus
✔ Less burnout
✔ Fewer sick days
✔ Better quality of life

Pretty grateful to be doing this work. And VERY excited about where Doc & Chef is headed next. 🌱

Repost from

If you work at a desk, incorporating “micro-exercise breaks” into the day can greatly improve your metabolic health.

A 12-week study found that doing 3-minute exercise breaks every hour during the workday (e.g., marching in place, push-ups, squats, heel raises) improved fasting blood glucose, insulin sensitivity, and even waist circumference, blood pressure, and HDL cholesterol.

These metabolic benefits happen because muscle contraction stimulates insulin-independent glucose uptake. This is especially beneficial after meals.

Big upside for a low time and effort investment!
