There’s a phrase I encountered very early in my Reiki training:
“Reiki can do no harm.”
Over time, I’ve come to feel that this statement is incomplete.
Because while the modality itself may be rooted in care, no healing work exists independently from the human being offering it.
Sacred work still requires discernment.
Ethics.
Humility.
Responsibility.
I wrote a reflection recently about the difference between the modality and the practitioner, and the importance of holding reverence alongside discernment in healing work.
