Last month, our chapter had a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our connection with local healthcare providers at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital. During the event, our Director of Teen & Young Adult Advocacy, Jessica Shouse, was able to share more about what we do and answer questions to help providers better understand how their team and The Arc can work together.

July also marked the release of new podcast episodes featuring self-advocates connected to our chapter! “In the Room”, a podcast showcasing the stories and perspectives of people with disabilities, interviewed The Arc-JCCGC Board Member Molly Kirkham and Consulting Advocate Brent Belisle to get their insights on inclusion, overcoming barriers, and more. Kirkham is featured in Episode 2 and Belisle is featured in Episode 5.
