Vision Therapy is like physical therapy for the eyes. Often people with vision problems are unaware that they see and function differently, especially children. Vision problems affect about 20% of school age children, and close to that in the adult population. A developmental vision evaluation should be the first step with anyone who struggles to read.

Big news from the OVDRA Conference! We are beyond proud to share that Kay and Monica have officially earned their COVT certification - Certified Optometric Vision Therapist. That means all four of our full-time vision therapists are now COVT-certified! The COVT is earned after 2+ years in vision therapy, writing 9 research papers, and passing both a written exam and an in-person interview. Kay and Monica absolutely passed with flying colors.

And the celebrations don't stop there - our Associate Doctor, Lauren Goettemoeller, has become board-certified with her FOVDR fellowship (Fellowship in Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation). Dr. Goettemoeller earned this by writing 9 papers and passing both a written and in-person exam. She has worked so hard over the past year, and we couldn't be more proud. Congratulations to an incredible team! 💙
