Today is Gastroschisis Awareness Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about gastroschisis , a birth defect where a baby’s intestines develop outside the abdomen. Our 2026 Miracle Child, Jordyn, was diagnosed with gastroschisis and received life-saving care at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow.
