❤️🖤 An oldie with a whole lot of history

This beauty was one of the earlier pieces Dean did after he came home — for the woman of his brother from another mother. ❤️

The revolver tucked into those deep red roses…. One of Dean’s earlier pieces after coming home, and just look at the detail. 🌹 a lot of talent in those hands, even at the beginning of this new chapter… using a professional tattoo gun for one and not a makeshift version from what he had to work with.

It’s pretty special looking back at some of these pieces and realizing how far the journey has come.

Dean is still here. Still creating. Still putting a little piece of himself into every tattoo.

🦋🐯 OLD INK. NEW LIFE.

Check out this transformation! Dean brought this older piece back to life — refreshing the butterfly with the tiger inside, strengthening the details and color, and adding fresh florals to bring the whole tattoo together.

The original idea was still there. It just needed a new chapter.

🌉 Some places stay with you forever.

We’ve been lucky enough to know this wonderful family for years, and Dean has tattooed most of them along the way. ❤️ They’re the kind of clients who become much more than clients — they become family.

This one was for Grandma.

Of all the places she has lived and all the chapters of her life, San Francisco holds some especially beautiful memories. So she chose the Golden Gate Bridge as a way to carry a little piece of that time with her.

Dean was honored to create it for her. 🌉❤️

That’s one of our favorite things about tattooing. Sometimes it isn’t just about getting a beautiful piece of art. It’s about a person, a place, a chapter of your life — something worth remembering.

🧭 Sometimes the best people just walk through the door.

We had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful couple visiting Florida from Ohio, and by the time they left, it felt like we’d known them a whole lot longer. ❤️

He came in wanting a compass tattoo worked right into the elbow — not the easiest spot to design for — and Dean created this piece to flow with the shape and movement of his arm.

She brought Dean an existing tattoo that needed some love, so he reworked and refreshed it for her.

But honestly, the best part was the visit. Great conversation, lots of laughs, and just genuinely good family people. These are the days that remind us why Inside Ink has always been about more than tattoos.

Thank you for finding our little shop while you were in Florida. Ohio’s got a couple of good ones. 🖤 Safe travels home — and we hope our paths cross again.

🌊 Some tattoos are just cool. Others come with a story.

This anglerfish was part of an undersea sleeve Dean worked on for a friend who also happened to be a prison guard. If you know Dean’s story, you know life has an interesting way of bringing people together. 🤝

This piece has that old-school Inside Ink feel — a little dark, a little wild, and plenty of character. Those teeth definitely aren’t trying to be pretty. 😂

That’s one of the things Dean enjoys most about tattooing: taking someone’s idea and turning it into something that feels like theirs. Whether it’s one piece or an entire sleeve, it gets built one story at a time.

🌸 A little throwback to a tattoo with a whole lot of love and meaning.

A few years ago, one of our awesome neighbors and dear friend came to Dean with an idea for a bouquet made up of the favorite flowers of her grandparents. ❤️

Instead of carrying one traditional bouquet, she gets to carry a little piece of each of them with her.

Dean has always loved tattoos like this—the ones that aren’t just about choosing something beautiful, but about people, memories, and stories worth keeping close.

And we still love how this one came together. 🌹🌸
