You don’t have to lose all your strength as you age. Keep weight training. This new randomized controlled trial suggests that high-load resistance training can help older adults improve strength and physical function while also enhancing markers of neuroplasticity and reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. Creatine supplementation (3 g/day) may further enhance some of these benefits.

So proud of Dr. Arthur Berkson, President of Dona Ana Medical Society, and the entire board for the great strides they have made in advocating for patients in New Mexico. Their inaugural gala last weekend had over 400 guests. It was amazing to see patient advocates, legislators, doctors, medical students, and community members from all over the state under one roof to support the mission of bringing more doctors to this beautiful state we love so much. Thank you to all involved!
