Check this out! ☺️💕 Today, Savannah’s classroom looked a little different… it was a salon! 💇‍♀️✨

She got hands-on experience coloring, shampooing, combing, and drying hair while learning from industry professionals. Savannah also had the chance to ask questions, learn about different jobs in the beauty industry, and explore a career that sparked her interest.

What a fun day filled with learning, confidence-building, and new experiences! 🌸

Today, The Garden Foundation officially turns 8 years old!! 💛

It’s hard to put into words what these last eight years have meant to us. What started as a dream has grown into a community filled with friendship, growth, confidence, inclusion, and so many unforgettable moments.

Because of your support, adults with disabilities have had opportunities to build independence, learn job skills, create meaningful relationships, and thrive in a community that celebrates them for exactly who they are.

This year, we have a special ask 💛

As we continue growing into our new space, we’re in need of items that help bring our classrooms, programs, activity spaces, and everyday experiences to life for the incredible individuals we serve.

This week our clients stepped into the role of everyone’s favorite Costco employee and practiced real job skills like communication, customer service, handling food safely, and interacting with the community. Turns out being a sample giver outer is serious business and also a lot of fun! 😍💛
