Over the past two years, one of the most meaningful parts of growing Niva has been the community that has grown alongside us. One of the most rewarding parts of periodontics is helping patients keep their natural teeth — and seeing that health and stability continue years later. There is something deeply meaningful about knowing that the time, planning, and care invested into treatment truly made a lasting difference in someone’s life.

But saving teeth is never just about one tooth or one area. At Niva, our doctors take the time to dig deeper with comprehensive evaluations focused on identifying root causes and uncovering contributing factors — not just treating symptoms.

We often find a connection between TMJ pain and sleep disordered breathing or obstructive sleep apnea. That’s why our care goes beyond pain management alone. Through a collaborative approach that includes physical and myofunctional therapy, surgical intervention and medical coordination, we help patients improve function, support oral airway health, and enhance overall quality of life.

There is something special about having time set aside to come together as a team, reflect, learn, and continue building the way we work with one another. Team Development Day was a chance for us to do exactly that, and to invest in the communication, trust, and shared values that support everything we do at Niva.

As our practice continues to grow, so does the importance of staying connected as a team. Taking care of our patients means being prepared in every moment, including the ones we hope never happen. Recently, our team came together for CPR Day to refresh our training, practice emergency response, and build the confidence and coordination that support a safe environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

While this kind of training happens behind the scenes, it’s an important part of the care we provide every day. We are grateful to have a team that is always willing to learn, support one another, and show up fully for the patients who trust us with their care.
