Trauma healing doesn’t always mean forgetting what happened.
Quite often, the memory remains.
What changes is what happens inside of us when we remember it.
A memory that once sent our bodies into panic may eventually become something we can think about without being pulled back into the same physiological response.
This doesn’t mean we’ve suddenly become numb to or have adopted a fancier way to disassociate...
It means our nervous system may no longer be responding as though the danger is happening right now.
This is what makes Clinical EFT so profound.
A 2023 systematic review and meta-analysis found that Clinical EFT produced significant, large reductions in PTSD symptoms compared with waitlist, usual care, or no-treatment controls.
In fact, in a published trial, 86% of veterans no longer met the criteria for PTSD after 6, 1-hour EFT sessions with a Certified Practitioner.
The broader Clinical EFT research base has now included dozens of randomized controlled trials examining outcomes across PTSD, anxiety, cancer recovery, depression, stress, chronic pain, insomnia, and other concerns.
Our goal isn’t to erase our story.
It’s to help our bodies learn that the story is over.
