I am so incredibly proud of Kyliauna. She has chosen to invest her time, money and heart into her education because she cares about the clients who will one day trust her with their faces. That commitment means everything to me.
Many people don’t realize that licensing and safety requirements vary by state, and they don’t necessarily require an artist to complete hands-on training in the actual procedures. That’s why I believe it’s so important for clients to ask about an artist’s education and experience.
I have earned over 80 certifications in cosmetic tattooing, from manual to machine techniques and the many different styles used to create a look suited to each client’s skin and goals. I pour everything I’ve learned into every student who chooses to learn from me.
For several years, I worked to help change the laws in Washington. I was honored to be one of three people from across the state asked to serve on the advisory board for writing the WAC rules, and I testified in Olympia.
Ultimately, I decided that one of the most meaningful ways I could help clients was to give artists a great education. That is the legacy I hope to leave in this industry.
There will be faces I will never meet or touch who receive quality permanent cosmetics because an artist I taught cared enough to learn. And someday, those artists may teach others, passing that knowledge on to the next generation. ❤️
