29 people came to last nightâs sound bath, and I wasnât expecting that kind of turnout. It was just a regular Sunday night, no theme, no special occasion.
Then someone gently reminded me it was a holiday weekend. Labor Day. Right.
I donât really experience Labor Day as a holiday. Itâs just another Monday but with the kids home from school. Then I remembered what that day is actually supposed to be for everyone else: a day off from work, from labor, from doing.
And there we were, a room full of people practicing that exact thing.
Weâre sharing a space where thereâs no one to please, no one to perform for. Nothing to do. Just be. With no one watching you.
We give so much of ourselves to other people. Itâs ok to let yourself receive too, and you donât need a holiday weekend as your excuse. Sunday sound baths happen every week, if you feel called to make rest part of your regular rhythm.
Grateful to everyone who showed up and received last night.
