I almost feel like I should begin this post with, "I had a dream," because this has been something I have carried in my heart for a very long time.
For those who know my story, it began after the death of my fiancé in 1972. During that difficult season, I witnessed treatments that often seemed to create as many challenges as they solved. It was then that a dream began to form within me—a hope that someday there would be more natural ways to support the body's ability to heal and restore itself.
Years later, as a school nurse, that prayer grew even stronger. I watched children struggle with health and behavioral challenges, and I saw firsthand the difficult balance families and healthcare providers were trying to achieve. Many children experienced significant changes in their energy, appetite, sleep, and overall well-being. At the end of many days, I would close my office door and pray that there would one day be better options—approaches that worked in harmony with the body rather than simply managing symptoms.
Today, after 45 years in nursing and a lifetime of searching for answers, I believe we are witnessing innovations that were unimaginable just a few decades ago. Technologies and discoveries are emerging that challenge us to think differently about health, wellness, and human potential.
These are exciting times. I am grateful to be part of conversations that explore what may be possible when we support the body's innate intelligence and capacity for wellness.
I have learned that sometimes God places a dream in our hearts long before we understand how it will unfold. Looking back, I can see that what began as a prayer over 50 years ago has become a journey of hope, discovery, and service to others. For that, I am deeply grateful.
