September is Hapoy Healthy Cat Moth 🐈

Understanding feline biology is one thing.
Putting the right nutrients is its bowl is another.

At Hero’s Pets, we believe there are many ways to improve a cat’s diet. Feeding doesn’t have to fit neatly into one category, and it certainly doesn’t have to become an all-or-nothing argument.

Commercially prepared frozen raw, freeze-dried, dehydrated, and moisture-rich canned foods can all have a place depending on the individual cat and household.

When we talk about raw feeding, we specifically mean properly formulated and prepared frozen raw diets intended for cats—not grocery-store muscle meat, table scraps, or improperly handled wild game.

Muscle meat alone is not a complete feline diet. Cats require specific nutrients in appropriate amounts and ratios, including taurine, calcium, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients.

The question isn’t simply whether something is “raw.”

It’s whether it is complete, appropriate, safely handled, and designed for the carnivore eating it. Follow along this month as we explore all the ways to keep you feisty from diet to grooming and more!
