President Trump signed an executive order this week regarding childhood vaccinations. For decades, the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines have been administered as one, combination vaccination. There are no scientific data to indicate that administering the measles, mumps and rubella vaccines as three separate injections offers any benefit to patients. To the contrary, separate administration would add to patient pain and parent cost.

We will continue to follow the guidance of medical experts and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our vaccination schedule and our vaccination policy have not changed.

Scientific evidence presented this week in an easy to follow article on success of flu vaccine in decreasing death from flu.

What you need to know:

•Influenza vaccine effectiveness against death among U.S. kids and teens averaged 80% in recent years.
•Vaccine effectiveness against death was 77% among kids with underlying medical conditions and 87% among those without.
•The findings come against a backdrop of declining influenza vaccine uptake since 2021.

Vaccination provided ample protection for kids with and without underlying conditions

Vaccines have been at the forefront of media coverage lately, and it is so hard to know what information being shared is evidence based. This upcoming webinar will review all the info you need to know that has scientific backing.

MA and CT vaccine requirements have not changed, and the AAP vaccine recommendations also remain unchanged.

Routine childhood immunizations are an important part of the path to lifelong health. Misinformation about vaccines has made it harder for families to know who or what to trust. It's no fun for kids when they get the flu and cases are on the rise in CT and MA. It's not too late to get your flu shot and bypass a visit to the doctor or the ED. Have a happy and healthy New Year everyone!

Just in case you missed our last post, the scientific evidence IS strong!!! Vaccines do NOT cause autism. To claim otherwise is not only incorrect, it is dangerous. We will always share with our families the most up to date, fact based information. That’s why you trust us to care for your littles! (And bigs!)
