🎉 Happy 18th Birthday, Zephyr! 🎉

This weekend, we celebrated a very special milestone—Zephyr turned 18 years old! 🐾💙

Zephyr has been part of the Holistic Veterinary Options family since early 2023, and he has captured our hearts with his gentle, sweet nature. One of his favorite things? Acupuncture appointments! He settles in like a pro and always reminds us how beneficial a calm, relaxing treatment can be.

At home, Zephyr shares his space with a younger brother who may have a bit more energy than he'd prefer, but every good senior kitty deserves a companion to keep life interesting. 😸

We can’t believe it’s almost June already — which means tick season is in full swing! 🕷️

We created this quick guide to help you identify ticks and know what signs to watch for after a bite.

If you notice a red bullseye rash around the bite, please call sooner.

If you find a tick on your pet, give us a call at (608) 432-2522 to schedule tick removal, consults, or bloodwork.

New Ozone Therapy Option: Limb-Bagging 🐾

We are excited to offer a new way to use our ozone machine:
Limb-Bagging Therapy.

This treatment involves applying ozone therapy directly to an extremity using a specialized bag that allows ozone gas to surround the affected area. Ozone therapy may help support circulation, oxygen delivery, skin healing, and the body’s natural healing response. Limb-bagging may be beneficial for pets with:

Masses or growths on a leg, paw, or other extremity
Localized skin concerns
Wounds or irritated areas on an extremity

Throwback Success Story: Meet Karli

Karli, a 7-year-old Havanese, came to Holistic Veterinary Options after struggling with a variety of symptoms, including excessive scratching, licking her feet, shaking, shedding, low energy, and a decreased interest in food and interaction with her family.
