🏓Pickleball may be America’s fastest-growing sport — but doctors are seeing a concerning trend: eye injuries are rising right along with it. 👁️
From black eyes to serious vision-threatening conditions like retinal tears, these injuries can happen in a split second.
The good news? Many are preventable.
SSM Health ophthalmologist and retina specialist Dr. Paige Arthur stopped by WMTV 15 News to explain what’s causing these injuries, when to seek care, and how simple eye protection can make a big difference.
