You may not always have the words for it yet.
You may have even been told to “wait and see.”
But that gut feeling? It matters.

Working in this field has taught me the clinical side of feeding, development, regulation, and oral function.

Motherhood has taught me the heart side of it.

It’s taught me how heavy it can feel when you know your baby is struggling, but no one seems to be looking at the full picture.
It’s taught me that parents don’t need more dismissal or bandaid fixes, they need support, answers, and someone willing to truly listen and look at their baby from a holistic perspective.

As both a provider and a mom, I’ve learned that so many baby struggles are brushed off as “normal” when they’re really signs that a little one may need more support.
And early support matters.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping families get to the root of feeding challenges, movement differences, oral dysfunction, and developmental concerns, not just telling them to wait and hope things improve.

Optimal timing of release is a crucial part in creating the best outcomes for your little one when it comes to tie releases. A release alone doesn’t create function, it creates the opportunity for it. When we prioritize therapy pre/post release, we’re building the foundation by improving oral motor coordination, balancing whole-body tension, supporting regulation and teaching the baby how to use their new mobility effectively. Without therapy, babies often continue to compensate, limiting progress and long term outcomes.

Seeing your baby watch you eat, grab for food, or show interest at the table is exciting. It’s one of the first signs parents notice and many assume it means it’s time to start solids.

But curiosity alone isn’t the same as readiness.

True readiness for solids involves a few important developmental foundations, like:

✨ Good head and trunk control
✨ Ability to sit with minimal support
✨ Interest in food plus the oral motor skills to manage it safely

Babies are naturally curious about what the people around them are doing. Watching you eat is part of how they learn about their environment but it doesn’t always mean their body is ready for the next step yet.

If your baby is approaching the age for solids, it’s helpful to look at the whole picture of development, not just interest at the dinner table.

✨ Feeding is a full-body skill.
