Let's talk about SENSORY PROCESSING. π§
Many children with autism experience the world differently:
π SOUNDS can feel overwhelming (fluorescent lights humming, multiple conversations)
π TEXTURES can be unbearable (clothing tags, certain fabrics, food textures)
π‘ LIGHTS can be too bright or distracting
π SMELLS can be intensely strong
β TOUCH can feel painful or uncomfortable
This isn't "being difficult." This is their nervous system processing sensory input differently than neurotypical brains.
