Kids shifted from play-based childhoods to phone-based childhoods in a single decade. This caused a sharp rise in anxiety, depression, loneliness, and sleep loss—especially for teens. As a parent, it's your job to protect their brain, build their resilience, and give them back a real childhood. The Greater Mankato Mental Health Hub's Tech Tips feature key takeaways from author Jonathan Haidt's book "The Anxious Generation" that can help parents and caregivers understand the importance of play in a child's social development.
