Higher Health was proud to represent Cannabis Ombudsman Connecticut at Stand Down 2026 on September 18 at the CT DVA Rocky Hill campus.

A day dedicated to connecting Connecticut’s veterans, service members, and their families with resources, support, and community. We’re grateful to have been part of it.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this day possible. Supporting our veterans starts with showing up, listening, and making resources easier to reach.

Free on site: health and wellness, mental health, VA healthcare, veterans benefits, housing resources, medical screenings, employment, legal and social services, clothing, personal care items, and education.

Open to CT veterans, active duty, National Guard, Reserve personnel, and immediate family. Bring your DD-214, VA card, or CT ID with veteran identifier. Rain or shine.

We are a women-owned, Connecticut-based medical card certification company, but what we really are is a patient advocacy platform. We specialize in supporting mental health patients, veterans, and the aging population. We collaborate with local mental health providers so our patients never have to navigate care alone. We show up at legislative sessions because someone has to be in that room advocating for patients.

Our certification process is entirely done via telehealth, because convenience matters when you’re already dealing with a health condition. And we fight, every single session, to make sure this program stays affordable and accessible for the people who need it most.
