Recovery is not one path, and it is rarely a straight line. It is a sacred unfolding—spiraling, softening, returning again and again to the self. This Recovery Month, we honor every soul choosing healing, connection, and the next right step guided by inner light and quiet courage.

Seasonal shifts can stir more than the weather. As fall arrives, pause and notice where your energy needs support. Reiki can help you reconnect with your center and move with the season instead of against it.

"One of the more wonderful effects is a feeling of being loved. This is a deep and refined feeling that is very nurturing."
— William Lee Rand

One of the most common things people share after a Reiki session isn't something they can always explain.

It's simply a feeling of peace.

Sometimes that's exactly where healing begins.

Sometimes we approach grief believing there is somewhere else we are supposed to arrive.

A place where it hurts less.

A place where we have finally “healed.”

A place where we can leave grief behind.

But what if grief isn’t asking us to leave it behind?

What if, instead, we learned how to make room for it?

To sit with it.

To listen when it becomes especially present.

To let it walk beside us without allowing anyone else to decide what that relationship should look like.

Grief changes because we change. Life continues to grow around our loss. And the love we carry becomes woven into who we are becoming.

There is no timeline for that.

No finish line.

Only the gentle practice of honoring what is here, in the way that feels true for you.

What would it feel like to stop asking your grief to go away and simply allow it to walk beside you?

FAQ: Can Reiki Be Done Virtually?

Yes! Reiki can be just as effective from a distance as it is in person.

During a virtual Reiki session, you'll simply find a quiet, comfortable place to relax in your own home while Christine sends Reiki energy remotely. Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, peaceful, and supported throughout the session.

Distance is not a barrier to Reiki. Whether you're in Boise or across the country, you can experience the calming benefits of a session from wherever you are.

Healing isn’t instant… it happens layer by layer.

Recently, someone compared healing to peeling an onion, and it really resonated with me.

Our bodies carry layers—years of stress, grief, exhaustion, habits, and simply doing what we needed to do to keep going. I spent much of my life caring for others and I wouldn’t change anything about that time. But one of the greatest lessons in my own healing journey has been learning to show up for myself too.

Healing didn’t happen overnight. It began with small, consistent choices—nourishing my body, supporting my nervous system, listening to what I needed, and making my well-being a priority.

That’s one reason I begin each day with Rise and Source. They are part of my commitment to keep showing up for my health, one day and one layer at a time.

And I’m feeling the difference—more energy, clarity, better sleep, and a deeper connection to myself.

I believe healing and transformation are possible for all of us. We don’t have to change everything at once. We just have to begin.
One small choice. One day at a time.
One layer at a time.

Can laughter and grief exist at the same time?

After years of working in hospice and end-of-life care, Lisa Paul believes the answer is yes.

So often, people imagine the end of life as only sadness and silence. But alongside the tears, there can also be laughter, connection, and moments that become treasured memories.

As Lisa shares in this conversation, humor doesn't diminish the seriousness of what someone is facing—it can ease fear, strengthen relationships, and remind us of our shared humanity.

If you've ever cared for someone at the end of life, you've probably experienced those unexpected moments that made you laugh through the tears. Those moments matter, too. 💛
