That small group started with one person. Erica Weese grew up alongside individuals with Down syndrome, and this year she rallied more than 30 of her Apria Healthcare coworkers to volunteer at the Step Up Walk. It’s their second year with us!

One of her teammates even brought goodies to hand out to families along the way. Little touches like that made the day feel extra special.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: In partnership with Down Syndrome Innovations, the Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities is proud to host the 3rd Annual SPEAK Up! (Self-advocates Promoting Empowerment and Access in Kansas) conference on Friday, November 6 in Wichita, KS.

What a way to kick off Down Syndrome Awareness Month 💙💛

More than 2,500 of you joined us at Kauffman Stadium for our 31st Annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk and we are still taking it all in.

This day is all about celebrating individuals with Down syndrome and the families who love them. Thank you to every team, family, and friend who came out. And a huge thank you to our volunteers who made the day possible.

And we’re not done yet! We’ll be in Columbia on October 24 for our Central Missouri Step Up Walk 👟
