We are in the thick of racing season now but wanted to give a special shoutout to athlete Roselynn Lopez who gearing up for her “A” race at The Great New York 100 M/100K this weekend!
Roselynn has put in the work. She followed her program to a T. And although she has toed the line for TGNY many times, when you are passionate about the process and the goal it’s normal to be nervous as well as excited. She expressed these words to Coach Maggie Guterl -
“Honestly, I feel mainly happy and grateful. I’m really proud of the work I’ve put in and the trust I’ve built in the process over the last six months. I feel strong, healthy, and confident heading into race day.
At the same time, I’m definitely entering the ‘11 days out’ phase. I’ve started weather watching, packing and repacking my drop bag, overthinking my packing list, and trying to determine every square inch of my body that might need l**e over 100 miles. So yes—I’m feeling a little restless and crazy too.
Mostly, though, I’m excited. Nervous, excited, grateful, and ready to see what happens.”
Trust your training, prepare for the unplanned, and leave the anxiety behind. GRATITUDE—it’s the ultimate secret weapon for calming the jitters and staying positive!
Thank you Roselynn!!! HAVE A GREAT RACE!!!! 🙌
