🦷 5 FOODS THAT LOVE YOUR SMILE β€” your grocery list is a dental tool!

1. Cheese β€” helps neutralise acid after eating.
2. Apples & Carrots β€” crunchy bites help scrub surfaces and boost saliva.
3. Green Tea β€” can help fight the bacteria that cause bad breath.
4. Nuts β€” provide minerals like calcium and phosphorus for enamel.
5. Plain Yogurt β€” calcium plus helpful bacteria, without added sugar.

Small swaps at snack time can help protect your teeth every day.

Which of these is already in your kitchen β€” cheese, apples, or yogurt? Tell us in the comments πŸ‘‡

Quick tip 🦷✨

After brushing, spit β€” don't rinse straight away.

Rinsing right away washes away the fluoride from your toothpaste before it has time to keep protecting your enamel. Just spit out the extra foam and let the fluoride keep working a little longer.

Do you rinse after brushing, or are you team spit-don't-rinse? Tell us below πŸ‘‡

🦷 5 REASONS TEETH FEEL SENSITIVE β€” does cold water make you wince?

1. Worn Enamel β€” when the hard outer layer thins, hot and cold reach the nerve faster.
2. Gums Pulled Back β€” receded gums leave the tooth root exposed, and roots are sensitive.
3. Cracked Tooth β€” even a small crack can let temperature and pressure reach the inside.
4. Acidic Foods β€” citrus, soda and sour foods can soften enamel over time.
5. Grinding Teeth β€” grinding wears enamel down, often while you sleep.

A soft brush, gentle pressure, and less acid can help protect enamel. If sensitivity keeps coming back, get it checked β€” it can be an early warning sign.

Which one hits you most β€” cold drinks, sweet food, or brushing? Tell us in the comments πŸ‘‡

🦷 5 THINGS A DENTIST WILL NEVER DO β€” and neither should you!

1. Use teeth as tools β€” opening bottles or tearing packets can crack a tooth in one second.
2. Brush harder to clean better β€” hard scrubbing wears enamel and pushes gums back. Gentle circles, 2 minutes, twice a day.
3. File or whiten teeth at home with DIY trends β€” nail files and charcoal can remove enamel, and enamel never grows back.
4. Ignore bleeding gums β€” bleeding is an early warning sign, not "normal". Catch it early and it is usually reversible.
5. Wait for pain before seeing a dentist β€” pain usually means the problem is already deep. Early = simpler, cheaper, less painful.

Which one are YOU guilty of? Be honest β€” tell us the number in the comments πŸ‘‡

πŸ˜– Toothache at midnight? Here's your emergency playbook!

Tooth pain means something is wrong INSIDE the tooth β€” usually deep decay reaching the nerve, a cracked tooth, or infection. You need a dentist as soon as possible, but here's what to do RIGHT NOW:

1️⃣ Rinse gently with warm salt water β€” cleans the area and reduces bacteria
2️⃣ Floss carefully around the tooth β€” pain is often just trapped food pressing on the gum
3️⃣ Cold compress on your cheek, 15 minutes on and off β€” numbs pain and reduces swelling
4️⃣ Over-the-counter pain relief as directed β€” never place aspirin directly on the gum, it burns the tissue!
5️⃣ Clove oil on a cotton ball can temporarily numb the spot

🚨 See a dentist URGENTLY if you have: facial swelling, fever, pain lasting more than 2 days, or a bad taste in your mouth (possible abscess β€” infections can spread and become dangerous).

What NOT to do: don't apply heat, don't ignore it hoping it passes, and don't keep chewing on that side.

Save this post β€” future you will thank present you! πŸ’Ύ

🦷 Too Late to Save

This molar is not being saved β€” it is too late for that. The crack had split it in two, and decay had eaten it from the inside. Every bite was pain.

Watch it come out, step by step: the forceps grip… slow, steady pressure… and the roots β€” look how long they are β€” slide free. Then the socket is cleaned and rinsed so it heals clean and fast. One week later: no pain, no infection, just healthy gum.
