Here’s what most people miss: it’s often not a motivation problem. It’s a nervous system that doesn’t have the capacity to take in new skills yet. So Wayfinders works in a different order.

🧠 First, we help teens understand and steady their nervous system
🛠️ Then we build practical skills like breaking tasks down and managing time
👥 Teens practice in guided groups, because that’s where real life happens
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents get their own coaching, so home becomes calmer too
📖 It’s story-based, so teens can recognize their own patterns without being labeled

A 12 week guided coaching program for grades 8 to 12, held online so families can join from anywhere. It starts January 20, 2027.

Wayfinders is a teen and parent coaching program from Align Well at Well in Montclair, and it starts where tutors, planners and executive function coaching usually skip: the nervous system. Here's why nothing has stuck so far 👇

When a teen's nervous system is overloaded, they can't start, focus or follow through, no matter how hard they try. It looks like laziness. Usually, it's capacity. So we build steadiness first, and the skills follow.
