No guessing, no mystery — here’s exactly what working together looks like, start to finish.

“Train Your Way” isn’t just lifting — depending on what your body needs, that might mean strength work, mobility and yoga-based movement, breathing mechanics, or nutrition coaching folded in along the way. It’s all pulled from the same toolbox, built around what’s actually going to get you out of pain and back to strong.

This is the whole point. Not a PR, not a pants size — her body doing something it hasn’t done in a long time: not hurting.

If pain has been running your schedule, your workouts, how you show up for your kids or grandkids, your spouse, or you’re just out of patience— let’s talk.

Kapalabhati (fire breath) is a technique I use myself and with my beastie clients.

This is one of the most underrated tools for building real bracing strength — and yes, that means you, recreational gym-goer.

Here’s what’s happening: sharp, forceful exhales through the nose fire your diaphragm and deep core muscles (transverse abdominis, obliques) in rapid succession. Your inhale stays passive and reflexive. That rhythm trains the exact pressure system you rely on every time you set your brace under a heavy bar.

The benefits stack up for everyone:

→ Increases lung capacity and respiratory efficiency

→ Strengthens the diaphragm — your primary breathing muscle

→ Improves CO2 tolerance, so hard efforts feel more manageable

→ Sharpens mind-body awareness and focus

This is just as awesome for athletes as it is for mamas who’ve lost a little bladder control after giving birth. A trained diaphragm means better intra-abdominal pressure, better bracing, a more stable spine under load, and, well, better control when you sneeze unexpectedly.

You can’t out-lift (or sneeze) bad breathing mechanics. Fire breath builds the foundation underneath every big lift you’ll ever do.

Pain doesn’t come with a one-size-fits-all fix. Neither does my coaching.

The Rebuild Protocol is how I get clients out of pain, back into lasting strength, and eventually — out of needing me at all. (Graduating clients is the goal, not the fear.)

If you’re picking up where PT left off, on a mission to avoid surgery, or your body’s just doing new and confusing things in your 40s+, this is your lane.

Discovery calls are free and there’s zero pressure. Link in bio. 😊

Our breath is like a break pedal.

When stress hits, the breathing shifts. It becomes shallow, fast, and stuck in the chest. This signals the nervous system to stay in high alert, which ramps up pain and tension.

Breathwork is one of the simplest ways to flip the switch. Deep, belly breathing, box breathing, or this 4-7-8 breathing pattern here helps you move from fight or flight to rest and digest. Let’s give it a shot together!

It’s tough not to instantly think of all the fun and yummy things we have to “give up” when pursuing a health goal.

That glass of wine, the late-night scroll, the couch marathon — but swapping them out isn’t really a loss if we look at the facts. It’s actually a heck of an upgrade.

Because on the other side of that “give up” list is deep, restorative sleep. Steady energy all day long. A calm mind that isn’t stuck comparing your life to a highlight reel. A body that feels GOOD moving instead of aching from sitting still.

That’s not sacrifice, that’s big growth.

And hey — nothing here is about quitting forever. Life’s too short, and some things absolutely deserve their moment. This is about making room for more of what actually fills you up — long term.

So here’s to allowing more rest. Welcoming more real food. Inviting in more movement, more play, more connection.

We’re not giving anything up. We’re leveling up.
