Our next Zoom meeting will be on Tuesday, 6/23, 4:00-6:00 Eastern (US/Canada). We will have guest researchers from UMiami, Drs. Pellerin & Zuchner, presenting information about the important research they are conducting with the support of a grant from the SCA27b Ataxia Foundation. Hope you can make it!

Looking ahead, our Zoom meeting in June will be on June 23rd, 4-6:00 EDT (US/Canada). We will have guest speakers (Drs. Pellerin & Zuchner) who will discuss the research they will conduct at the University of Miami utilizing SCA27B patient-derived neurons. I am also happy to announce that our foundation will be awarding this lab $28,000 for this very important research. The goal of this research is to gain a deeper mechanistic understanding of how/why the FGF14/GAA repeat expansion causes ataxia and to identify therapeutic targets to treat SCA27B.
