Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and supported.

AgeWell Services is proud to partner with Safe Haven through Senior Resource of West Michigan to help protect and support older adults throughout Oceana, Muskegon and Ottawa counties. While SafeSeniors through AgeWell Services and Safe Haven are separate programs, we share a commitment to preventing older adult abuse, neglect and financial exploitation and ensuring older adults have access to the resources and support they need.

Safe Haven is a free, confidential program that provides:
✅ One-on-one support from a trained specialist
✅ Safety planning and emotional support
✅ Help understanding rights and available options
✅ Connections to trusted community resources

Through education, awareness, prevention and community partnerships, we can work together to ensure older adults live with dignity, safety and respect.

We've all had to prove we're a human by matching pictures or a text-based task but now there's a new scam that looks like a CAPTCHA. Check out the article from the Federal Trade Commission to learn more. Remember - if the CAPTCHA asks you to enter a series of commands - something like Windows + R, then CTRL + V, and then Enter you're actually following steps to paste hidden malware on your device. Once it's there, scammers can steal your information.

The Federal Trade Commission began enforcing the TAKE IT DOWN Act allowing people to submit complaints about companies' failure to comply with the law requring platforms to remove nonconsensual intimate images at the request of victims in May.
