📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

I'm very excited to announce that The Garnet Heart has found a new home at the Kilburn Mill in New Bedford!

Starting this summer, I'll be hosting childbirth education classes, newborn care classes, parent support groups, infant massage classes, and more in this new space! This will also be the new home of the monthly meet-ups and private consultations.

I'm so excited to be joining so many other local small businesses at the Kilburn Mill.

I've had the honor to work with some of the warmest clients this winter! I'm grateful for their kind words.

While these three birth experiences (a vacuum-assisted vaginal birth, a VBAC, and an unplanned cesarean birth) were all so different, the common thread is that these new parents felt supported, validated, and prepared, even through all of the twists and turns of labor. A doula can do so much more than hold your hand or squeeze your hips - though we are good at that too! A doula's real work begins way before the birth, at the prenatal visits. Education, support, and preparation are key to feeling empowered as you step into your birth experience.
