Yamhill County Sheriff's Office has received reports of several bear cubs on private property in the Dopp Rd / Bayley Rd / North Valley Rd area. While these magnificent animals are part of our local wildlife, interactions with humans can be dangerous so we wanted to provide a few reminders about dealing with bear encounters:

𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘺:
✋ Do not approach or feed the bear. Keep a safe distance.
🗑 Secure trash, pet food, and bird feeders. Bears are attracted to easy food sources.
🐕Keep pets and children indoors until the bear leaves. Be aware of surroundings when outdoors.
📢Make noise from a safe distance to encourage the bear to move along.

𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭:
☎️ 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 / 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁: Call 911 if the bear poses an immediate threat to human safety.
📞𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: Report sightings to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) at (503) 947-6000.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PREVENT WRINKLES???

SUNSCREEN!!!! yes that’s not what everybody wants to hear but protecting your skin from the sun is the best way to protect from the breakdown of the collagen from
UVA which ages you
UVB which burns you
Not all sunscreens are created equal.
You want to make sure that you have enough protection to last.

15 last about 2 hours
30 lasts about 3 to 4 hours
50 last about 5 to 6 hours
and anything over a 50 is just a marketing ploy!

When you apply that sunscreen in the morning, remember in the afternoon, you want to reapply when the sun is at its peak in the summer. Otherwise your skin is left unprotected and it’s accumulating damage overtime.
And you want to use enough for good coverage!

This young boy bear was first spotted in Newberg right by my home and had many sightings across multiple cities and had his last moments in canby. He made it all that way…
