Reacting to @ kwhitlegit (Kaelyn Whitaker) on TT sharing such a real and vulnerable moment while navigating menopause and recovering from the flu. I know so many women watching this will see themselves in her experience.
One thing that’s important to remember is that even if you’re on hormone replacement therapy (HRT), your body is still dealing with the stress of being sick. Illness, inflammation, and poor sleep can temporarily amplify menopause symptoms and leave you feeling like your hormones are “off.”
If this happens to you, give yourself some grace while your body recovers. Once you’re feeling better, check in with your provider. A conversation about your symptoms and updated hormone labs can help determine whether your treatment is still the right fit or if it’s time for an adjustment.
If you’re struggling with perimenopause or menopause and feel like you’ve lost yourself, know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to help.
