I'd be happy to talk with you about Sandplay, or better yet, have you try an introductory session. Putting your hands in the sand helps you 'get' what it's all about a lot more than thinking about it!

There is a translation of Psalm 46:10 that reads, 'Be in awe and know that I am God.' Where have you experienced the awe of nature that stilled your soul and let you know God was present? One of mine was in the Redwoods of California!

This week's Mini Retreat reminded us we are not necessarily calm on the inside just because our bodies are still. But we can find an inner stillness while we are moving, whether it is walking a pet, gardening, making music, playing in the sand, or any number of other activities. The next Mini Retreat with Sandplay will be Monday, October 5. You can attend 1-2:30 or 5:30-7. Mark your calendars!

This was 12 years ago on Pilgrimage in San Francisco with Louisiana UMC Conference. It was a wonderful trip with amazing people! You never know when or where you will find a labyrinth! I went on this trip because a friend who had signed up couldn't and I took her place. I almost turned it down. A word of advice-say Yes! to invitations and opportunities to feed your soul!

This Slow Drawing is helping me calm and enjoy images. Like sandplay, it is a great way to enter a meditative frame of mind and heart.

Day 5 already! 🎉

Working small has a way of teaching us big lessons.

Maybe you've discovered that you don't need nearly as much time as you thought. Maybe you've realized perfection isn't nearly as important as simply beginning. Or maybe you've remembered how much joy there is in making something with your own two hands.

Whatever you've learned this week, I hope you'll carry it with you long after the challenge ends.

It was a good day for walking the labyrinth with the amazing young people of Hendrix Youth Institute. Everyone of them were familiar with the labyrinth! Our journeys continue!
