Look y’all, I just want to explain something about my booking process because I promise I’m not trying to make it difficult. 🤍
Wonderland Ink isn’t a big operation with a team of artists and a full staff behind the scenes. It’s me. I do have a friend who helps me with some of the operational side of things now and another who helps me with parties/events, but when it comes to actually tattooing—you’re getting ME.
And outside of being a tattoo artist and business owner, I’m also a mom. I have kids to pick up from school, games to get them to, dinners, practices, family time, and all the normal mom things. One of the biggest reasons I wanted to build my own business in the first place was so I could have a career I love without missing my kids growing up.
So when I say I don’t have an opening, I promise it’s not me being mean, difficult, or not wanting to tattoo you. There are genuinely only so many hours in a day. 😂
A tattoo appointment can take anywhere from an hour to SIX hours depending on the piece. That means I can’t necessarily fit 3–4 people into a day just because there are technically a few hours left on my calendar. Every appointment is different, and there are a lot of factors that go into building my schedule.
Over the last year, I’ve changed and adjusted my booking system multiple times trying to find the easiest and fairest way to do this—for both myself AND my clients. I try really hard to communicate when my books are opening, exactly how to submit an inquiry, what happens afterward, and when I’m completely booked.
I know it can be disappointing when you want an appointment and can’t get one right away. I truly do appreciate that so many of you want to trust me with your tattoos. But I also have to protect the balance I created this business to have.
So just take it a little easy on me. 🫶🏻 I’m doing the best I can, I’m constantly trying to make the process better, and I just ask for the same patience, kindness, and respect in return.
There’s only one of me, and I promise she’s working her ass off. 😂🖤
